On his song “The Heart Part 4,” Kendrick Lamar had previously given rappers “‘til April the 7th” to get their things together, implying that he would release a new album on the date. April 7 is here but without an album from the “Humble” rapper. While fans thought the album would release Friday, the California rapper has since revealed a new release date, along with more details.

Check out everything we know about Kendrick Lamar’s new album below:

The Album Will Release On April 14

Although Kendrick never actually confirmed an April 7 release date, many fans expected the album to release on that date. While the album will come out at a later time, you won’t have to wait much longer. According to the iTunes page for the album, Kendrick’s new project will now come out on April 14.

There Will Be 14 Songs

The full tracklist for Kendrick’s next album has yet to be revealed, but we do know it will be 14 songs long. The tracklist doesn’t feature “The Heart Part 4” but “Humble” is listed as the eighth song on the album.

Producers On The Album Have Been Revealed

While we don’t know what the name of songs or who will be featured on them, we do know which producers worked on the album. 9th Wonder, Terrace Martin, Cardo, Alchemist, BadBadNotGood and Mike Will Made-It all have production credits on the project.

He Has A New Focus

During an interview with the New York Times, the rapper said his last album, “To Pimp a Butterfly,” addressed a problem in a space that he is no longer in. For his new project, Kendrick said: “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to the community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork.”
