Kentucky Derby 2019: Game Winner, Roadster, Omaha Beach Still The Favorites? Plus A Look At Prop Bets

The Kentucky Derby is one week away with a highly competitive field competing for the first leg of the Triple Crown. Three contenders are tied for the top favorite, as Game Winner, Omaha Beach and Roadster each have +500 odds.

Game Winner, with a 6-4-2-0 record, is owned by Gary and Mary West, and trained by Bob Baffert with Joel Rosario as the jockey.

Omaha Beach, with a 7-3-3-1 record, is owned by Fox Hill Farms, and trained by Richard Mandella with Mike Smith as the jockey.

Roadster, with a 4-3-0-1 record, is owned by Speedway Stable, and like Game Winner, is trained by Baffert. The jockey is Florent Geroux.

The field thins out after Improbable (+700), Tacitus (+900) and Maximum Security (+1,000).

Two of the last four thoroughbreds to win the Kentucky Derby have gone on to win the Triple Crown, with American Pharoah (2015) and Justify (2018) taking the honors.
