Khloe Kardashian, who welcomed her second baby with ex Tristan Thompson earlier this month, opened up about how difficult parenting is in the modern age. However, the reality TV star also shared that she loves everything about being a mother even when it gets difficult.

"I know it's cliché, but I love everything, even the hard parts," the 38-year-old said in an Elle interview published Tuesday. "[My kids] challenge me as a person, and being able to shape little people into really incredible big people is an honor and a gift."

She went on to explain how one should take being a mother very seriously, especially in the modern world where kids have access to a lot of information.

"We have to take those roles seriously, especially in today's day and age, with how much accessibility children have and the information they're exposed to so young," she added. "It's super scary, but I take my job very seriously. I love it so much."

Kardashian further shared how she consider herself to be "super lucky" for having mother, Kris Jenner and sisters to rely on for parenting advice.

"I'm super lucky that we have each other because we ask each other for advice or information," she said. "We're not girls that are haters or are envious of one another. We get inspired and motivated by each other's success."

The youngest of the Kardashian sisters shared that watching her siblings and mother hustle is "definitely inspiring," adding that one can either learn "from someone's mistakes or how they succeeded so well."

Kardashian has five siblings Kourtney, 43, Kim, 41, Rob, 35, as well as Kendall, 26 and Kylie Jenner, 25.

Kardashian and Thompson welcomed their first baby girl named True in April 2018. The former couple first met in August 2016. The NBA player acknowledged their romance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in November 2016.

After dating for more than a year, Kardashian confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram in December 2017. Thompson flirting with another girl in a nightclub made headlines in September 2018. They finally called quits in February 2019.

However, the former couple was again seen together at their daughter's birthday party in April 2019. Since then, they have been meeting on and off but things changed between them again when personal trainer Maralee Nichols welcomed a baby and revealed Thompson is the father.

Thompson admitted the same in January 2022 and issued a public apology to Kardashian.

While Kardashian and Thompson are not back together as a couple, it seems they will continue to co-parent the second baby like they did for True. "I still think he's a great guy, and he's a great dad. He's just not the guy for me," Kardashian said in April 2022.
