  • Klay Thompson shares his thoughts heading into the playoffs
  • Thompson feels that the Warriors will once again be a team to watch in the playoffs
  • Stephen Curry's status for Game 1 against the Nuggets is still up in the air

Klay Thompson believes that the Golden State Warriors are more than capable to mount a strong postseason comeback.

The past two seasons did not go down how the Warriors wanted it to be.

In the 2019-20 season, the Dubs didn’t make it to the playoffs and it was followed by a devastating play-in elimination against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Much of the Dubs’ underachievement was because the team was plagued with injuries.

With both Draymond Green and Thompson in top-tip condition as well as Stephen Curry’s nearing return, “Dub Nation” could be in for a treat.

Thompson has no doubts about what the Warriors can do when all the key players are in their best form.

In fact, he has already warned other teams about a “scary sight” in the playoffs once the Dubs finally become “whole.”

"It's a clean slate now," Thompson told TNT's "Inside The NBA" Sunday. "Especially if we go into the playoffs whole, it's going to be a scary sight for the rest of the NBA. I'm just really excited to get home and rest and scout these guys. We know it's not just Jokic. They are a really balanced team, but obviously he's a problem."

The Warriors’ "Big Three" had not been productive in the regular season, having played together for just 11 minutes on the court.

Curry's status for Game 1 of the Warriors’ Western Conference first-round series against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, April 16 is still yet to be determined.

However, Thompson remains confident that as long as the Warriors got him, Curry and Green, they will be able to reach greater heights again.

"He's one of the greatest to ever play the point guard position," Thompson stressed. "Without him, our hopes for where we want to go, they are just not the same. He's the engine that makes us go. Same with Draymond, he's our heart and soul. We need those two guys at 100 percent health.”

"Just to share the floor with those two again, it means so much not only to me but to the organization, to the heights we been able to reach,” he continued. “We plan to reach them again, but it's going to take a lot of resolve and a lot of fight."
