Kourtney Kardashian clarified that the social media accounts on her 12-year-old son's name were fake and warned media outlets to stop using them as their source.

"After months and months of thinking you would all know that is NOT Mason on these fake accounts, some of you don’t," Kardashian tweeted Thursday. "So I will spell it out clearly: that is NOT Mason on these fake social media accounts talking about our family."

In a separate tweet the same day, she warned media outlets to avoid using these fake accounts as sources. Kardashian called the person who created the accounts "Ultra ultra ultra creepy."

"To any and all 'news' outlets who use that false account as a source, you know better. Stop using it for the benefit of your slow news day please and thank you. And to the person relentlessly pretending to be Mason, ultra ultra ultra creepy," she wrote.

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.

One person suggested she should make fun of the fake accounts on her show "The Kardashians." The user wrote, "I need to see yall make fun of this on the show because some of the posts on there…. creepy isnt even the word."

"I agree they shouldn't be posting sh-t for clicks if they don't know if it's true but with all the crazy sh-t in this world anything sounds believable and if you're gonna be famous, guess what you signed up for it kourt," another fan added.

The fake Mason Disick accounts have been spreading various rumors about the Kardashian family. One of the recent rumors was related to Kardashian's sister Kylie Jenner. An update on Jenner's life posted on one of the handles read, "Kylie is getting married and … that's why she's the only one wearing white!!!" according to Radar Online.

In the past, Mason had created his official social media handles but his mother immediately deactivated them.

"I made [his Instagram account] private and then [Mason] turned it back to public without me knowing … so I just [deleted it]," Kardashian said during an Instagram Live session in 2020. "It's gone. It's deleted."

Kardashian shares Mason with her ex-partner Scott Disick. She also shares two more kids with Scott - Penelope, 10, and Reign, 7. The mother of three is married to musician Travis Barker.
