Kris Jenner has come out in defense of her daughter Kylie Jenner once again. In a recent interview, she explained that the “self-made” billionaire tag that was given to her daughter recently was an accurate description of what she has achieved.

There was a bit of a controversy back in March when Forbes declared Kylie the youngest self-made billionaire. Some people objected to the use of “self-made” tag while talking about the makeup mogul. Opponents argued that the makeup mogul had a ready platform as a part of the Kardashian family that she leveraged for her success.

In a recent interview with "CBS Sunday Morning," Kris spoke about her daughter and justified the “self-made” billionaire tag given to her earlier this year. She admitted that some of the things her daughters got was “handed to them” thanks to the popularity of the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” series, but Kris pointed out that it takes “a lot of work” to do what her girls are doing.

Kris said that the money Kylie made began with her savings, and the business too was her idea. “She showed the rest of us how to do it,” Kris explained.

While Kris continues to defend her daughter, Kylie previously admitted to New York Times that while “technically” it is right to call her a “self-made” billionaire; she did get a lot of help and she also had a “huge platform.” She also said at that time that she can’t say that she has done it all by herself.

While it is debatable whether to call Kylie a self-made billionaire or not, the success of her company is undeniable. A “conservative” estimate of her brand’s value is $900 million.

Building on the success of her company, Kylie has been launching new products. In a recent Instagram post, the makeup mogul teased that she is currently working on a “big project.”
