The all new LG G4 and the Google Nexus 6 are phablet devices that come with high-end specs. The Nexus 6 is a huge device that features the stock version of Android and impressive specs. The LG G4 is the successor to the LG G3 and has specs to pit against new flagships like the Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9. Here is how the specifications of the two phablet devices compare:

Design And Display

Since the LG G4 has a curved body, its thickness varies from 6.3 mm to 9.8 mm. The Motorola Nexus 6 has a thickness of 10.1 mm. The screen-to-body ratio offered by the Nexus 6 is 74.1 percent that is higher than 72.5 percent on the LG G4.

The Nexus 6 has a sturdy appeal thanks to the solid polycarbonate chassis and the exterior of the device is water-resistant. The LG G4 has a premium appeal as it comes with an attractive leather exterior. However, it lacks the sturdy feeling of the Nexus 6, states Phone Arena.

The Nexus 6 is packed with a huge 5.96-inch Super AMOLED screen with 493 ppi pixel density. However, the LG G4 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD with support for 538 ppi pixel density. Both the displays support Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

Processor, RAM, Storage

The Nexus 6 is packed with an older Snapdragon 805 chipset that contains a quad-core processor gunning at 2.7 GHz along with Adreno 420 graphics. It is supported by 3 GB of RAM.

On the other side, the newer LG G4 is packed with a better Snapdragon 808 chipset that includes a 64-bit hexa-core processor that delivers a clocking speed of 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 418 graphics. The chipset is supported by 3 GB of RAM.

There is no external storage on the Nexus 6 and it is available in native storage versions of 32 GB and 64 GB. The LG G4 is only available in a single 32 GB storage option and its external storage supports up to 128 GB of microSD.

Camera, Connectivity, Software

The Google Nexus 6 has a 13 MP camera that is enabled with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a unique ring flash. The front-facing camera is of 2 MP only. The LG G4’s 16 MP also supports OIS and the front-facing camera is of 8 MP.

Both the devices care packed with numerous connectivity features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and more. The Nexus 6 comes shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop that can be upgraded to the most recent Android 5.1 Lollipop version that delivers stock Android experience. The LG G4 comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and it is overlaid with LG UX 4.9 UI.

Battery

There is a 3,220 mAh non-removable battery that powers up the Motorola Nexus 6. It can deliver a 3G standby time of 330 hours and talktime of 24 hours. The LG G4 is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery. It can churn out a standby time of 440 hours on 3G and talktime of up to 20 hours on 3G.
