U.S. Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, who has been linked to Tim Tebow in the past, owes more than $1.7 million in delinquent taxes to the IRS, according to reports.

The Detroit News reported that Vonn and her estranged husband owe $1,705,437 to the IRS for unpaid taxes. Vonn is currently in divorce proceedings with Thomas Vonn, who at one point served as her skiing coach.

Vonn wrote on her Facebook that she will do what she can to deal with the situation as soon as possible.

I am disappointed with this situation, she said. I just recently became aware of the outstanding balance and I have done everything in my power to settle it immediately. The money owed was for the 2010 tax year, which was filed on time, and it has been paid in full. This is an important lesson for me. Not being in control of my finances and relying on someone else who you believed had your best interest at heart was a mistake and one I will not make twice.

Vonn finished No. 1 overall on the World Cup circuit for skiing -- her fourth overall title. She's additionally won five world championship titles and a gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
