Lisa Rinna is reprising her role as Billie Reed on “Days of Our Lives” a little more than two years since she exited the long-running show.

It has now been confirmed that the 58-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star will be coming back to the well-loved soap opera since departing the show in 2018. The news comes along with NBC’s Monday announcement that the “Days of Our Lives” universe is expanding on its streaming platform, Peacock, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rinna has reportedly decided to come out of her soap opera retirement for one last hurrah as Billie Reed in the new project, entitled “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,” that will exclusively run on NBC’s streaming platform.

The actress-turned-reality star took to Instagram on the same day to confirm her upcoming return to the soap opera’s expanded universe. She shared the official poster for the new show and teased what fans should expect from the Peacock original.

“Billie Reed is Back. All of the romance, action, drama and surprises that only DAYS can deliver, but like you’ve never seen before. Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem is streaming soon on @PeacockTV. #DOOLBeyondSalem #PeacockTV,” she wrote in the caption.

Aside from Rinna, other cast members who are appearing on “Beyond Salem” include Deidre Hall as Dr. Marlena Evans, Jackée Harry as Paulina Price, Victoria Konefal as Ciara Brady, Drake Hogestyn as John Black and James Reynolds as Abe Carver. Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Weston), Lamon Archey (Eli Grant), Sal Stowers (Lani Price) and Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) are also part of the project, as per Deadline.

“Over a long weekend, John and Marlena travel to Zurich; Ben and Ciara have a romantic getaway in New Orleans; Chad visits some old friends in Phoenix; and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli vacation in Miami,” read the official summary of the series obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

“All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. It’s a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure,” the summary continued.

The news of Rinna’s return to the series comes days after she dropped a bombshell when she revealed that she had a “couple of one-night stands” with her former co-star Patrick Muldoon, who played her on-screen brother, Austin Reed, on the show.

“Having an affair with the guy who played my brother. Well, not an affair, but a couple of one-night stands with the guy who [played] my brother. Patrick Muldoon and I had like, a thing,” she said during an appearance on the “PEOPLE in the 90s” podcast.

The TV personality then clarified that she only had a fling with Muldoon, and she got serious when she met her husband, Harry Hamlin.
