Leicester City are reportedly ready to accept a reduced transfer fee for midfielder Youri Tielemans ahead of the 2022 summer transfer window.

Leicester have slashed Tielemans' asking price to $46 million amid interest from Manchester United and Liverpool FC, reported Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad.

Even Arsenal are interested in securing the services of Tielemans, who himself wants to leave Leicester and join a big club with big ambitions, the Belgian report claimed.

The Gunners recently opened talks with Leicester over a potential transfer of Tielemans in the summer, according to Goal.com.

The 24-year-old will have just a year left on his current deal with Leicester at the end of the 2021-22 season. Moreover, he is yet to agree to a new deal with the King Power side.

Liverpool's sporting director Michael Edwards, who has pulled off some of the most amazing transfers for the Reds over the years, is believed to be targeting Tielemans for a long time.

When Gini Wijnaldum left Liverpool in the summer of 2021, the Reds wanted to bring in Tielemans as a replacement. However, Leicester City back then did not budge in their asking price. The midfielder's market value was around $63 million at the time and it was still on the rise.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers admitted last month that Tielemans could be in his final season with the club.

"He is at an age and at a stage in his contract where he has to ensure he looks at every option. I would love it to be here at Leicester, that is natural, but I understand it's a very short career. For players, it's about ambition, the challenge and sometimes it's about a different environment. We have seen it before many times," added Rodgers in an interview, Football London reported.

Leicester's current stand in the 2021-22 Premier League isn't working in their favor as well. Rodgers' side is placed 12th in the points table. Tielemans has netted six goals and three assists in 26 competitive appearances for Leicester this term.
