  • Liverpool might not pursue Jadon Sancho this summer, a report says
  • The Reds are in talks with AC Milan for the possible transfer of Hakan Calhanoglu, another report says
  • RB Salzburg's Patson Daka is reportedly also on the Merseyside outfit's radar

Liverpool may have ended its pursuit of Jadon Sancho but still keeping tabs on two more potential signings, a report says.

No time is being wasted at Anfield as Liverpool has already been making tremendous progress in its transfer plans. The Reds have just secured a deal to sign Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig, but the club is still expected to bolster the team’s offense by pursuing an attacker.

Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho has been said to be on Liverpool’s radar, but Jurgen Klopp’s side has changed its plans and is no longer interested in signing the English forward, The Athletic reported.

Following the agreement for Konate, Liverpool will need to sell some fringe players in order to fund its next transfer moves. However, regardless of how much the Reds will be able to cash in from departures, Sancho will not be included on the club’s transfer wish list, the report said.

Instead, Liverpool will try to swing a deal for AC Milan attacker Hakan Calhanoglu, Liverpool Echo reported. International Business Times could not independently verify this information.

Calhanoglu’s current deal with Rossoneri is set to expire next month, and the 27-year-old has captured the attention of the Reds. This summer, Calhanoglu could leave Milan as a free agent, and Liverpool is already working on his possible move to Merseyside, as per Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

Calhanoglu is an attacking midfielder who first made his mark in Bundesliga as a lethal striker. In his maiden German top-flight season, Calhanoglu bagged a total of 11 league goals.

This past season, the Turkey international scored five goals across all competitions for AC Milan.

Aside from Calhanoglu, Liverpool has also set its sights on Patson Daka, another prolific striker who currently plays for Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, according to Zambian outlet Zam Foot.

The 22-year-old is considered as one of the most promising strikers in Europe, having netted a whopping 34 goals for Red Bull Salzburg this season.

Daka’s incredible goal-scoring form has attracted interest from across the English top-flight with Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal all said to be keen on securing his signature.

Some reports suggested that if things go as planned, the three-time Austrian Bundesliga champ could become Liverpool’s follow-up signing to Konate.

However, the Zam Foot report also noted that at this point, Liverpool’s Premier League rival West Ham United is the favorite to land Daka as the Hammers view him as a suitable replacement for Sebastian Haller.
