Longest solar eclipse of the century leaves Asia in darkness
The longest solar eclipse this century left millions of people in India, China and Japan in the dark.
Some places experienced the eclipse for more than 6½ minutes.
The eclipse is the longest since July 11, 1991, when a total eclipse lasting 6 minutes, 53 seconds was visible from Hawaii to South America.
Another eclipse longer than Wednesday's is not expected to take place until 2132.
