Lorde fans, rejoice! The musician has finally confirmed that she has been working on her next album and will be making a grand comeback with new music soon. This will be her first studio album in more than three years.

In a newsletter, the 23-year-old singer revealed that new music from her is on the way. She also confirmed that she has gone back to the studio to work on some new stuff and got really surprised when the results turned out to be really good.

The “Royals” hitmaker further stated that her work had to be halted because of the shutdown, so the album could take some more time to finish. However, she assured her fans that everything is under control and they are finding ways to complete the album as soon as possible.

The acclaimed musician will be collaborating with Jack Antonoff for her new album. Lorde previously collaborated with Antonoff on her album “Melodrama.”

“I started going back to the studio in December just for something to do, and to my surprise, good things came out. A thing started to take shape. And then, of course, the world shut down. We are still working away — Jack and I FaceTimed for over an hour this morning going over everything. But it’ll take a while longer.”

Lorde also explained that the album might take a little longer because she wants to create an album that has everything for everyone. The “Still Sane” singer also said that she wants to make an album that can stay relevant even 20 years after its release.

Lorde started her professional career in 2013 with the album “Pure Heroine.” The album received universal acclaim and took her popularity to a whole new level. The song “Royals” turned out to be a massive hit and made her win two Grammys, including Song Of The Year.

She carried on her golden run with “Melodrama,” which came out in 2017. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2018 Grammys, but it lost out to Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.”

Apart from 2 Grammys, the musician also has 2 Billboard Music Awards, 2 Brit Awards, and 1 MTV Music Video Award.
