Elsewhere in the episode, Lucifer will also find out that a flaming sword is the only hope for his entire family to return to Hell safely. But in order to put the sword on fire, Lucifer will need to ignite something he’s tried to veer away from for the past couple of weeks: his emotions. By the looks of it, Lucifer igniting his emotions could mean remembering what it felt like to have feelings for Chloe (Lauren German).

Additionally, Chloe is dying to share her thoughts and feelings to anyone who has the time. But when she finds out that a therapist and head of admissions at a prestigious private school turns up dead, she has to prioritize her work over her personal life. Since Chloe will be kept occupied with the investigation, she will receive help from her ex-husband, Dan (Kevin Alejandro), while Lucifer is busy spending time with the estranged couple’s daughter.

In the episode, Lucifer will return to Los Angeles after leaving everyone that loves him dearly without any explanation. The lead character will act as if nothing happened, especially to him and Chloe, even though they shared a kissed in episode 13.

To make things worse, Lucifer will also drop a bomb on Chloe by telling her that he’s now married to a woman named Candy (Lindsey Gort). However, Lucifer did not marry Candy because he loves her. Instead, he only wants to use Candy as a pawn to get information from his mom, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). Lucifer will try to explain things to Chloe, but the latter will simply shut him off by saying that she doesn’t really care about him anymore. But the reality is, Chloe is extremely hurt by Lucifer’s deeds. She is also very confused because she knows for a fact that she and Lucifer shared a rare connection with each other.

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 14 will air on FOX on May 1 at 9 p.m. EST.
