The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday issued a recall for a number of products produced by Beauty Plus. The products in question — bronzer, shimmer bronzer, a beauty palette and a matte blush — have been recalled after testing positive for asbestos.

Consumers are being told they should stop using the makeup immediately. Full details and labels for the products can be found here.

Asbestos was discovered in these products as part of the FDA’s ongoing testing of beauty products. Consumers in possession of these products are urged to cease using them immediately and report any adverse effects to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Reporting program.

This is the second time in recent months that Beauty Plus has been the subject of a recall due to asbestos.

In late May, the FDA discovered the toxic material in the company’s Contour Effects Palette 2, as well in Claire’s JoJo Siwa Makeup Set. These latter products were produced in partnership between Claire’s chain of youth beauty stores and Siwa, an alumnus of the “Dance Moms” reality TV series.
