Manchester United reportedly are interested in an exchange deal for Paul Pogba but have rejected Juventus’ player suggestion. Pogba has been unhappy at Old Trafford for a while now, constantly being in the middle of controversies and criticism, while Juventus are looking to bring the Frenchman back to Turin.

Juventus offered Aaron Ramsey as a part of an exchange deal for Pogba, but Manchester United made it clear that they were not looking for the former Arsenal man’s services. The Red Devils also rejected Douglas Costa, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, as reported by Italian publication Calciomercato.

Out of 20 appearances this season for Manchester United, Pogba has started in 10 games and has scored twice and provided three assists. Since his $121 million return to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016, Pogba has never managed to settle in the club. Initially, due to a lack of alternatives, Pogba did not struggle to find his place in the side whenever fully fit. However, now is not the same case. The 27-year-old forward is aware that the "No. 10" role at Manchester United is no longer his with Bruno Fernandes and the current holder of the No. 10 jersey, Marcus Rashford, scaling heights speedily.

Apart from his struggles to fetch consistency along with questions about his commitment, Pogba’s problems are further stirred up by his agent Mino Raiola, who recently claimed that his client’s move away from Manchester United is now inevitable.

The Italian report also stated that Juventus are making progress in their bid to land Pogba as Manchester United are ready to negotiate further with the hope to reach an agreement on the right terms and players.

With the transfer talks happening in the background, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is slowly advancing in the 2020-21 Premier League. The Red Devils currently are placed second in the table but are level on points with leaders Liverpool FC. However, Manchester United have a game in hand and a win would see him replace Jurgen Klopp’s side at the top of the table.
