Zeki has been targeted by Leicester City manutd.com

Premiership and European heavyweights Manchester United are in the danger of losing their prized English leftback/centerback starlet Ezekiel “Zeki” Fryers to Championship side Leicester City when the summer transfer window opens, say latest reports.

This is the second news in the same week regarding yet another youngster who has been linked with a club outside the Old Trafford. The first story that made rounds earlier this week was when it was reported that another United youngster, Frenchman Paul Pogba, had decided to leave the club and join Juventus within minutes after United’s shocking 1-0 away defeat to local rivals Manchester City in a title decider.

Now Zeki, 19, is said to be targeted by Leicester City who are believed to have monitored the player and have eventually recognized him as their next target for the summer transfer window. Although the youngster will be off contract in June and is yet to agree to new terms, it is being said that United are determined to keep hold of Fryers.

The player may be tempted by the fact that he will get regular playtime at Leicester, which is something hard to come by at United with so many world class players around. But the decision will again depend on United if they want to keep the player or let him go at the end of the day.

A report from The People also claimed that Leicester City had already made an approach for the player but it was rejected by United.

Fryers, a product of the Manchester United Youth System, was previously in news when in January this year, Sky Sports News carried a story suggesting that Fryers could follow fellow academy product Ravel Morrison out of Old Trafford at the end of the 2011–2012 season. The youngster has made just six appearances for United thus far.
