Masters 2017: Tee Times, Weather Update, Betting Odds For Golf's First Major Tournament

The hours leading up to the start of the 2017 Masters have not been kind to Augusta, Georgia, as severe weather forced the cancellation of a practice round Wednesday. The weather, however, should be improved for the first round Thursday.

With storms closing the course and Wednesday’s Par 3 contest, it looks like the rain will have subsided by the time Daniel Summerhays (+50000) tees off. Along with Russell Henley, Summerhays will be in the tournament’s first pairing.

Thursday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, and the golfers could deal with cool and windy conditions. Temperatures are expected to reach the 70s this weekend.

The betting favorite to win the Masters won’t tee off until the early afternoon. Dustin Johnson (+550) is part of the last pairing, alongside two-time green jacket winner Bubba Watson (+4500) and Jimmy Walker (+10000).

Rory McIlroy (+700) has the second-best odds to win the first major of 2017, via Bovada.lv, followed by Jordan Spieth (+800). Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler and Jason Day are tied with the fourth-best odds at +1800.

Justin Rose, Jon Rahm and Phil Mickelson are considered to be legitimate threats to win the green jacket with +2500 odds. Henrik Stenson (+3000), Justin Thomas (+3500), Adam Scott (+3500), Paul Casey (+4000) and Sergio Garcia (+4500) could be in the mix in the final round, as well.
