Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion and fast food chain Popeyes are partnering to promote a new spicy-sweet hybrid sauce called Hottie Sauce that mirrors her personality.

Starting Tuesday the Hottie Sauce will be added to the Chicken Sandwich and Nuggets at Popeyes in the U.S. and 14 additional countries. The sauce consists of honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper.

On top of the rollout of the new sauce, Megan and Popeyes will release themed merchandise that includes bikinis, long sleeve shirts, hats, tumblers, and dog toys.

Popeyes will also make a six-figure donation to Huston Random Acts of Kindness.

Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, is part Creole. She grew in prominence in 2016 and won three Grammy awards in 2021.

Popeyes chief marketing officer Bruno Cardinali said the chain and Megan Thee Stallion have a lot in common.

"From our southern roots to our shared love for flavor with a lot of spice, she embodies the proud, spirited, joyful, and big-hearted personality we embrace with our food and heritage," Cardinali said.

The Miami-based company has over 3,400 locations. It is a subsidiary of Toronto-based Restaurant Brands International Inc., which also owns Burger King and Tim Horton's.
