If you’ve been following Meghan Markle’s epic, real-life love story with Prince Harry, it’s clear you love a good royal romance. Well, Hallmark Channel hears you and has a brand new fictional one for you to enjoy Friday night.

In “A Winter Princess,” starring Natalie Hall and Chris McNally, the starting royal in the relationship is the woman, unlike in the Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with the Duke.

This Winterfest 2019 premiere will be Hall’s first Hallmark movie since her 2011 flick, “Love's Christmas Journey.” As for McNally, he recently starred in “The Sweetest Heart” with Julie Gonzalo on the network and is joining the cast of the Hallmark drama “When Calls the Heart” in Season 6.

Before he appears on that show, though, fans will get to first see him when “A Winter Princess” premieres. They’ll also get reintroduced to Hall, as well as some Markle-esque royal fun.

“When Snowden Peak’s event planner quits days before the Snow Ball, Carly (Hall) is asked to plan the gala with Jesse (McNally), the resort owner’s handsome brother,” the synopsis begins. “The arrival of Carly’s twin brother, the Crown Prince of Landora, brings a distraction as his handsome companion has a crush on Carly. She’s flattered, but also confused about her feelings now that Jesse is on her mind. Also preoccupying Carly is keeping secret her royal identity, which Jesse discovers when he sees a package addressed to ‘Her Royal Highness.’”

The synopsis continues: “Already smitten with Carly, Jesse agrees to stay mum. As the two settle on the Summit Lodge as the venue for the Snow Ball, Carly and Jesse convert the event into a fancy fundraising gala to help infuse much needed resources into the property. But without a celebrity draw, investors aren’t interested, and Snowden Peak is put up for sale. Will Carly allow her royal identity to be exposed to save the resort?”

Casey Manderson (Prince Gustav), Brendon Zub (Prince Emile), Lara Gilchrist (Allison), Mackenzie Gray (King Kristof), Kazumi Evans (Brittany), Bernie Yao (Charlie), Lossen Chambers (Dee) and Zoe Welch (Kim) also star.

The film was directed by Allan Harmon and written by Erinne Dobson.

Watch the royal romance blossom when “A Winter Princess” debuts on Friday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
