  • Meghan Markle will celebrate Archie's birthday and Mother's Day this week
  • Meghan Markle is expected to share photos of Archie on the latter’s first birthday
  • Prince William allegedly snubbed Meghan Markle on Mother's Day

Meghan Markle has two reasons to celebrate this week with husband Prince Harry and their son Archie.

On Wednesday (May 6), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s firstborn will be turning 1. The couple is expected to share a new photo of the tot just like the way Kate Middleton marked the milestones of her kids.

“You can expect to see him,” Prince Harry and Markle’s spokesman told Sunday Times.

However, the representative did not elaborate on how the couple would share Archie’s picture since they are no longer using the Sussex Royal Instagram account. The couple made their last post in March by thanking their fans who continue to share their commitment with them.

The Queen forbade the two from using the royal account after they decided to step back from their royal roles. Queen Elizabeth II also did not allow them to use the “royal” brand for their personal business, so the two were forced to bid goodbye to their 11.2 million followers on Instagram.

However, Markle might create a new Instagram account. According to royal etiquette expert Myka Meier, the Duchess of Sussex will certainly return to social media and might create an account similar to Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP.

“I think Meghan is going to have another Instagram,” Meier said. “I think she’s going to do a Goop, like a new version of The Tig … I really think that’s coming. I have a friend with a little bit of insider knowledge, and I think she’s already working on something.”

Meanwhile, Markle’s other event to celebrate this week is Mother’s Day. The U.S. Mother’s Day holiday is happening this Sunday, and it would be the second time for Markle to celebrate it. Last year, Prince Harry and Markle shared photos of Archie’s little feet to mark the occasion.

The U.K. celebrated Mother’s Day in March. Many accused Prince William of snubbing Markle because he didn’t mention his sister-in-law in his Mother’s Day tribute on social media. The Duke of Cambridge only mentioned his wife Middleton, his mom Princess Diana, and mother-in-law Carole Middleton.

Many defended the future king saying that he didn’t shade Markle because he only mentioned the most important women in his life. Prince William didn’t mention any other person in his post aside from his wife and moms. He didn’t even include Queen Elizabeth II in his tribue.
