Meghan Markle's Instagram account was briefly reactivated earlier this week, giving fans a glimpse into her life before she married Prince Harry and joined the British royal family. And it turns out, the Duchess of Sussex and former "Suits" actress is just like us!

Markle, 37, took down her Instagram page in April last year, seven months before she and Prince Harry, 34, announced their engagement. But on Tuesday, Markle's Instagram account resurfaced for one hour, allowing royal fans who may not have heard of the duchess a chance to see her life before joining the Firm. Here are some things we learned from Markle's Instagram posts:

1. Travels

Perhaps joining the British royal family was inevitable for the actress-turned-duchess as Markle loved visiting the U.K. even before marrying Prince Harry. She apparently spent a lot of time in London, whether it was for work or vacation. Markle previously posted photos taken during one of her trips to London in December 2013 on Instagram. The snaps showed horse-drawn carriages in the city, and in her caption, she joked that it was difficult to grab a cab there.

She posted about another London trip in July 2016, and this time she stopped to enjoy peonies, her favorite flower. Just a month later, she stopped to grab coffee in the city as she read a local paper.

2. Friendships

Royal fans know that Markle is good friends with Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams, Abigail Spencer and stylist Jessica Mulroney. However, her Instagram account revealed that she has also hung out with "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev and singer Kellie Pickler.

Four years ago, the duchess went on an international holiday tour with the USO in December 2014 alongside the country singer, 32. At the time, Markle posted a photo of her and Pickler and praised the singer for her kindness.

3. Food

Markle was never shy about expressing her love for food, especially on her Instagram. Back in April 2016, the duchess posted a photo of herself wearing "cheeky" jeans with a patch that said, "Touch my butt and buy me pizza." Later that year, she shared a meme that read, "Fries before guys," and wrote in the caption that she would always choose the food over a guy.

4. Relationship with her father

Markle and her father, Thomas Markle Sr., are believed to be estranged nowadays, but that wasn't always the case. Back in 2013, Markle shared a supportive email she received from the 74-year-old former lighting director praising her performance in "Suits." In the post, the actress called her father her "biggest cheerleader" and thanked him for his support. In July 2016, Markle made sure to wish Thomas Sr. a happy Father's Day and expressed her gratitude to him for giving the "best" hugs.

5. Clothing

Markle may have to get used to wearing formal and elegant dresses nowadays, but she still prefers simple and casual for a normal outing. Prince Harry's lady love confessed that she loves wearing jeans and simple shirts during her daily life in a June 2014 post. Along with the caption, she posted a photo of herself camping with some of her pals in Canada.

6. Girl Scout

Markle was also a Girl Scout when she was younger. In one post back in 2013, Markle revealed that her mother, Doria Ragland, was her troop leader when she was with the organization.
