Meghan Markle’s childlike gesture shows that she’s “awed and thrilled” with her royal life.

The Duchess of Sussex has been photographed clasping her hands in various occasions. According to royal expert Judi James, the movement says something about Markel’s feeling about being a royal.

“This gesture tends to be a playful, pseudo-infantile expression of excitement and anticipation,” James told Fabulous Digital.

“However, it's not really a gesture you see apart from kids in movies and adverts as it is rather theatrical.”

James said that Markle is probably taking in the “adventure” of being a royal that her husband, Prince Harry, mentioned in his sweet tribute to Markle on her birthday.

“Harry thanked his wife for joining him on his ‘adventure’ and it seems to comply with that idea that she’s having a lot of enthralling experiences as a royal,” James continued.

“In some instances her hands are positioned a little lower - and more elegant - but when they are held close to the face the ‘awed and thrilled’ look is complete.”

Meanwhile, some netizens were not happy with the other royal members birthday greetings to Markle. According to one netizen, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles picked Markle’s “ugliest photos.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton were also trolled for their choice of photo when they greeted Markle on her birthday. Netizens were not pleased with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s decision to share a group photo of the royal family for Markle’s birthday because they only wanted to see the Duchess of Sussex.

“Why a picture of the whole Royal Family? It’s not about Kate or William or Charles!” one netizen commented on the post shared on Instagram.

In related news, both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are plagued with different issues. Prince Harry was slammed for his environmental statements and failing to practice what he preaches. On the other hand, Markle was criticized for her constant efforts of enforcing her privacy yet working with a magazine to share her thoughts about anything including politics.

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, the backlash that the couple received was not surprising. He added that Prince Harry and Markle’s worst enemies in the recent months are their own selves.
