Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., may finally have the chance to see his daughter in person but under unfavorable circumstances.

According to Express, the former lighting director could come face to face with the Duchess of Sussex in court when the latter’s lawsuit against a slew of British publications goes to trial. Thomas Sr. is also being considered as Daily Mail’s key witness.

The publication recently responded to Prince Harry and Markle’s complaint, and they also included correspondence between the former actress and her dad.

According to the publication, Thomas sent Markle a text message nine days before her royal wedding to Prince Harry. In his message, the 74-year-old said that he’s looking forward to trying n his wedding shoes.

But just a day or two later, Thomas received a frosty phone call from the “Suits” alum, who was enraged after her dad posed for a series of photographs with the publication.

Two days after the phone call, Markle’s dad reached out to her and told her that he loved her. It was also on May 14 that Thomas told his daughter that he wouldn’t be able to make it to her royal wedding.

Thomas also told his daughter that he was going to make a public apology for the staged photographs, but received a reply from Prince Harry who advised him to not say anything to the press.

On the same day, Markle’s dad started feeling very ill, and he was rushed to the hospital on May 16. He texted Markle about his emergency heart procedure, but it was Prince Harry who replied to Thomas.

Thomas claimed that even though the text message was signed off with “Love M and H,” Prince Harry and Markle didn’t ask about his surgery.

Meanwhile, Thomas’s other daughter, Samantha Markle, recently gave an update regarding her dad and Markle’s relationship. She said that Prince Harry’s wife is still ghosting their father.

Samantha also said that she hopes when Archie gets older, he would want to get to know their family.
