Meghan Markle still has not spoken with her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., and her half-siblings, Samantha Markle and Thomas Markle Jr.

It has now been revealed that the Duchess of Sussex’s family feud may have been caused by a secret conflict that happened years ago. In the book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” royal author Andrew Morton said that Samantha and Thomas Jr. grew up as rivals.

After their parents split, Samantha and Thomas Jr. both lived with their mother for a short while before they moved to California to be with their dad.

“Though he still idolized his father, there was one big fat fly in the ointment of his new life – his sister Yvonne. They’d always fought like cat and dog – and sibling rivals from hell,” he said. Yvonne is Samantha’s birth name.

While they were living in California, several incidents took place that caused more tension between the siblings. After they moved from Santa Monica to Los Angeles, Thomas Jr. managed to snag the downstairs den as his bedroom.

“He was especially thrilled when a friend sold him a king-sized waterbed. His excitement turned to dismay when he sat on it shortly after taking delivery only to be soaked in water… Inspecting the evidence, he discovered several holes in the brand-new bed… There was only one suspect: his sister Yvonne, who immediately admitted responsibility, but argued that it was retribution as she had wanted that room for herself,” Morton said.

Thomas Jr. also claimed that Samantha once called Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, “the maid” for the simple reason that she’s not white. He also said that his sister had a fascination with black magic, and it disturbed him.

Abbie Llewelyn, a journalist for Express, said that it is possible that the Duchess of Sussex is not motivated to make amends with her family because she grew up with so much tension in the house.

Markle has not spoken to her dad and half-siblings for months.
