  • Meghan Markle's son Archie also has the Archie Harrison Effect

Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, recently took the internet by storm after his photo was shared online.

On New Year’s Eve, Markle and Prince Harry surprised their millions of Instagram followers with a 2019 highlights video. Archie and Prince Harry are featured at the end of the clip.

Eagle-eyed royal fans immediately noticed how adorable and big Archie has become at 7 months old. They also found his bobble hat fashionable.

While speaking with Stuff.co.NZ, Make Give Live co-founder Claire Conza said that their bobble hat was sold out within minutes after the video was uploaded.

“We’d made thousands of dollars before 8 am this morning and we’ve sold out of all the stock that we had of that style. I almost can’t even comprehend what it means,” she said.

The bobble hat was given to Prince Harry and Markle as a gift for their son during their trip to Australia last year. But the recent video was the first time that Archie was photographed with the headpiece.

Meanwhile, Archie isn’t the only member of the Sussex family who has the ability to sell out specific pieces. When the Duchess of Sussex first joined the royal family, she was also able to help boost the sales of certain brands. As such, the term The Meghan Markle Effect was coined.

According to Lyst, a global fashion search platform, Markle was the most powerful dresser in 2019. She has attracted a 216 percent increase in searches for the clothes that she wears in public.

The “Suits” alum’s Club Monaco dress was sold out in less than 24 hours. The five shirt dresses that she wore during her tour of South Africa saw a 45 percent increase in searches that month.

And after her royal wedding, there was a 40 percent increase in searches for halter neck dresses.

“This was also the first time we ever saw such huge demand for the halterneck,” Yasmine Bachir, Lyst’s senior communications executive, told Elle UK.
