The Redmond-based tech juggernaut Microsoft will reportedly launch the Surface laptop Go On October 1 and would act as the company’s smaller and more affordable alternative to the Surface Laptop 3, according to a new leak.

German Site WinFuture recently shared that multiple retailers are calling the said device Microsoft Surface Laptop Go. The site also offered the technical specs of the rumored device along with its price. The Surface Laptop Go reportedly houses the Windows 10 Pro as its operating system.

The said machine reportedly costs €649 with another model running on Windows 10 S Mode retailing at €599. Other Surface Laptop Go specs shared by the site include the 12.45-inch screen, sporting a much smaller digital footprint compared to its other Surface siblings.

The Surface Laptop Go is also rumored to house the Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with a base clock of 1.2 gigahertz and a maximum clock rate of 3.6 GHz. The company’s Go devices offer a more affordable entry to the ecosystem of Microsoft Surface but with several limitations, particularly in terms of value. NeoWin earlier claimed that the Redmond tech giant might hold an event later in the week. This seemingly aligns with the release date of the Surface Laptop Go shared by the German site.
