The 256GB variant of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, powered by Intel Core i5, can now be purchased at a discounted price of $1,049, down from the original price of $1,299.

In addition, the relatively low-end model of the Surface Pro 4 with 128GB storage and Intel Core m3 onboard can now be purchased for $799, vs. the original price of $899. To top it off, the top-end variants, powered by the Intel Core i7 processor, can also be had at a $250 discount for a limited time.

All these discounted variants can be purchased from Microsoft Store, complete with free shipping and a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty. It is worth noting that the device bundle includes a Surface Pen but not the Smart Keyboard.

As for specifications, the Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch PixelSense display, complemented by 2,736 x 1,824 pixels resolution. The display combination translates to a pixel density of a 267 ppi. Microsoft has made use of aagnesium chassis enwrapping all the hardware modules.

Under the hood, each one of the variants comes powered by Intel Core m3 or i5 or i7 processor, with solid backing from 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of RAM configuration.

Speaking of connectivity, the Surface Pro 4 supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a slew of ports, including the full-sized USB 3.0, headphone jack, mini display port, cover port and Surface connect. This notebook sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Software-wise, Windows 10 Pro runs the device out of the box. Preinstalled Microsoft Office helps in creating, editing and sharing documents in a jiffy. The Surface Pro 4 can also run professional-grade software like Adobe Creative Cloud, Citrix, AutoCAD and Visual Studio.

This tablet comes with stereo microphones and stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support. Apart from the built-in storage space of 128GB or 256GB, the Surface Pro 4 also features a microSD slot to facilitate expansion. According to Microsoft, this device can offer up to 9 hours of video playback.

On a related noted, Microsoft just unveiled a 1TB Surface Pro 4 variant in the U.K. This variant is, however, not available in the U.S. as of Thursday. The U.K specific price of this 1TB model starts at 2,199 pounds (about $3,115).
