Miley Cyrus recently revealed in an interview that she has been “sober” for the past six months and it seems her boyfriend Cody Simpson has been very supportive of her journey.

According to People, a source close to the couple revealed that the “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker is quite grateful for having a partner like Simpson, who advocates clean and healthy living. The insider also shared that the Aussie singer has been helping the actress since day one and has been supportive of her journey to sobriety.

The sourced also told the media outlet that Cyrus is really happy to be dating the “La Da Dee” singer.

“She is very happy to be dating Cody. He is very much into clean, healthy living, and supports her sobriety,” People quoted the source, as saying.

The news comes almost a week after the “Don’t Call Me Angel” singer revealed that she decided to be “sober” following a major vocal surgery.

“By understanding the past, we understand the present and the future much more clearly. I think therapy is great. That is great. I am celebrating my sober birthday on July 7,” Cyrus told Variety.

Simpson and Cyrus started their relationship just two months after the “Hannah Montana” actress announced her split from Liam Hemsworth. Before starting her romance with Simpson, the songstress was involved in a short relationship with Kaitlynn Carter. The rumored pair called it quits after 2 months of sharing a whirlwind romance.

Recently, Cyrus performed an impressive rendition of The Beatles’ “Help” for the Global Citizen Global Goal: Unite for Our Future virtual concert in an empty Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. At the time, she sported a new pixie cut and donned an ab-baring couture dress with asymmetric sleeves.

“I wanted it to stay vibrant and hopeful like the melody of the song,” Cyrus told Vogue about her look during the performance.

The virtual concert also featured performances by Shakira, Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Justin Bieber, J Balvin, and Chloe x Halle. Meanwhile, Chris Rock, David Beckham, Kerry Washington, Salma Hayek, Diane Kruger, Ken Jeong, and Naomi Campbell also made appearances during the event.
