  • Miley Cyrus jokes about not being invited to events
  • She did not perform at the Grammy awards
  • The singer congratulated her dad for his Grammy win

Miley Cyrus joked about not being “invited” to award shows anymore. She took to Instagram to show a video to explain why people hesitate to bring her on stage.

Back in 2013, Cyrus smoked a blunt while hosting the MTV EMAs in Amsterdam. She shared a video of that on her Instagram page. The video shows the singer removing the blunt from her bag and smoking it on stage while thanking everyone.

“& we wonder why I’m not invited to award shows anymore,” Cyrus captioned the post. The crowd had cheered wildly when the singer smoked on stage, and she got that support from the fans again on social media. The Instagram post has over 8 million views as of this writing, and some of the singer’s celebrity friends also commented on it to show their support.

Lisa Rinna commented on the post and said that she would invite Cyrus if she had an event, Page Six reported. “Don’t ever change,” designer Alexander Wang wrote in his comment.

Miley was not one of the performers at the Grammy 2020 event. However, she congratulated Lil Nas X and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus for their wins in another Instagram post.

“ I love you both like family .... well one I HAVE to love like family and the other one I WANT to!” Miley wrote. “Love you bro,” she added for Lil Nas X.

Billy and Lil Nas X were nominated for their collaboration “Old Town Road.” They got two awards in best music video and best pop duo/group performance categories.

Miley previously performed with her dad and Lil Nas X, singing “Old Town Road” with them. The video she shared online to congratulate the two singers for their Grammy wins was from that performance of the song where she joined them on stage.
