Even though country stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton asked for privacy when they announced their divorce last month, the singers have been hounded by cheating rumors. One of the people involved in the gossip is fellow country singer Chris Young, who said that it was horrible to be accused of having an affair with the “Over You” singer.

"It's just so weird getting pulled into something like that where it just wasn't true,” Young, 30, told "Entertainment Tonight" Wednesday when was he asked about the infidelity claims. "Man it sucks that I got put in this situation with two people who are my friends."

Even though the “I’m Comin' Over” singer said he was “shocked” about the cheating allegations, Shelton laughed them off. "I was in touch with Blake all day that day," Young said, in reference to the day the rumors started. "He was like, 'Dude, sorry.' I was like, 'I know man.' "

Young added that he also has spoken to Lambert. "They're both good since [the last] time I've heard from them. As good as you can be,” he told "ET."

Lambert isn’t the only one who stands accused of cheating. Shelton reportedly had an affair with singer Cady Groves.

Shelton, 39, and Lambert, 31, issued a joint statement after the Fourth of July about their split. "This is not the future we envisioned," they said. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

Since the divorce, Lambert has kept busy performing shows. She also will hold an event for her charity, the MuttNation Foundation. The “Cause for the Paws -- Back to Basics” event in Luckenbach, Texas, will take place Sept. 18 and 19. The organization has saved animals from “kill” shelters and helped with emergency puppy mill rescues.
