The bodies of a mother and her two daughters, who were reported missing out of Kaufman County in Texas, were found dead inside a vehicle Thursday, police said. Authorities had been searching for Natalie Chambers, 31, and her daughters, Izabel, 4, and Elise, 2, since Wednesday.

According to police, the mother’s vehicle was found in a parking lot at I-635 and Midway Road in Farmers Branch. Chambers and her daughters left their Forney house Wednesday morning for a playdate in Grapevine, but they never arrived.

After the mother and children were reported missing Chambers' cellphone was detected near Interstate 635 and Midway Road in Dallas. They were last seen in a blue 2008 Ford Escape with Texas license plate number KZR9118.

Police said Thursday they cannot confirm if there were any visible signs of harm. A cause of death is yet to be revealed and authorities are investigating the incident.

Chambers’ sister, Jessica Purcell, released the following statement: “Natalie was hilarious and charismatic and never met a stranger. She fiercely loved her girls and was an inspirational mother. I always used to tell her I’m glad she did it (motherhood) first so I can steal parenting tips from her. Izabel and Elise were happy and so very smart and witty. Izabel got that her mom’s sassiness and Elise got her humor. They were beautiful and perfect. Our hearts are completely shattered.”
