KEY POINTS

  • Rustam Chsiev and Daniel Pereira are set for a potential show-stealing matchup at BRAVE CF 55
  • A shot at the middleweight title could await the winner of the fight
  • The undercard also boasts four other fights that have the potential to create big stars

Bahrain-based BRAVE Combat Federation has a potential show stealer on its hands as Rustam Chsiev faces Daniel “Gaucho” Pereira on the undercard of BRAVE CF 55.

Chsiev possesses a strong wrestling game that he relies on heavily, best exemplified in his most recent outing against Italian Enrico Cortese at BRAVE CF 52 last August 1.

Cortese found his back on the mat and in the corner multiple times throughout the fight as the Russian controlled the action with heavy shots landed from advantageous positions, forcing the fight to end after the bell has rung.

Chsiev is currently riding a three-fight win streak over Cortese, Brendan Lesar and Tarek Suleiman.

On the other hand, Pereira has established himself as one of the top fighters in the division after knocking out Chad Hanekom in the main event of BRAVE CF 31 for the inaugural middleweight title.

Pereira was in trouble through much of the first round but got in a heavy right-handed haymaker on Hanekom in the middle of the second round, leading into the fight-ending sequence a few moments later.

A win over Chsiev could have Pereira in a rematch against current middleweight champion Mohammad Fakhreddine, a fight that he lost by way of knockout in the fourth round.

With both fighters being extremely well-versed in the ground game, it has all the makings for a barnburner of an affair.

However, there are four other fights on the card that fight fans should be on the lookout for.

In the bantamweight division, Austria’s Mochamed Machaev will face off against Russia’s Kasum Kasumov as a shot at the vacant division title could be on the line down the road.

Luis Felipe Dias and Kamal Magomedov will both be making their debuts for the promotion in what is expected to be a mid-round finish with the two men having at least five submissions to their name.

BRAVE CF pioneer Gadzhimusa Gaziev is going to square off against Belgium’s Issa Isakov, a fighter who carries with him an 88 percent finishing rate from his eight previous wins.

Lastly, Kamil Magomedov and Sam Patterson put their winning streaks on the line against each other as both fighters are undefeated since 2017 and 2018 respectively, with a possible date with lightweight titleholder Ahmed Amir potentially waiting in the pipeline.

BRAVE CF 55 will be held in Rostov-On-Don, Russia on November 6.
