Last week’s episode of “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” Season 5 ended with a cliffhanger. This Tuesday, fans will finally get the answers for the questions that kept bugging them after episode 4: Where is Buddy? What happened to him? Why did he leave?

The synopsis for “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” Season 5, episode 5, titled “Buddy Big Secret,” indicates that Whitney Way Thore will finally get to the bottom of Buddy’s mysterious disappearance last week. The 32-year-old television personality will uncover the harsh truth when she and Buddy’s ex Heather decide to look for clues inside the house of Buddy’s parents.

Whitney told Newsweek last week that she has actually noticed some changes to Buddy in the days and even months leading to his disappearance. “There were a lot of things Buddy was doing and saying that were uncharacteristic for months and months. We were searching for a long time to figure it out. There was something really, really wrong with Buddy,” she said at the time.

While it is still not clear what drove Whitney’s best friend to flee, some fans are already voicing via social media that he could be receiving treatment at a rehab facility when the show was filmed. Some fans wrote on Twitter that Buddy could be abusing drugs or alcohol.

However, Buddy is completely safe based on his posts on social media, as pointed out by Life & Style. He’s been sharing snaps and he even took part in the viral Google Arts & Culture App. The online magazine also pointed out that Buddy could be returning to the TLC reality series since he has shared a photo he took from the set of the show.

Meanwhile, Ashley’s pregnancy is also something to watch out for this week aside from Buddy’s ordeal. The synopsis teases a dramatic turn of events for Ashley who is already about to give birth. She will start to feel as though she’s falling apart. It isn’t known if something will trigger this to happen, but surely Whitney will be there to help her friend.

“My Big Fat Fabulous Life” Season 5, episode 5 airs Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
