The Los Angeles Rams are back-to-back NFC West champions, and they are odds-on favorites to win a third straight division title after losing in the Super Bowl. The Seattle Seahawks have finished in second place for two straight seasons, having made the playoffs in six of the last seven years. The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals had the NFL’s two worst records last season.

How many games will each NFC West team win in the 2019 NFL season? Below are predictions for the division, based on the latest over/under win totals at New Jersey’s FanDuel Sportsbook.

Los Angeles Rams: 10.5 Wins (+115 Over/-135 Under)

There is every reason to believe the Rams will win more than 10 games in 2019. Los Angeles has won at least 11 games in both seasons under head coach Sean McVay, leading the NFC in points scored each year. Jared Goff has gotten better every season, and he’s got three above-average wide receivers at his disposal. Aaron Donald might be the best player in football. Don’t let the Rams’ lackluster Super Bowl performance convince you that they will have a disappointing year.

Seattle Seahawks: 8.5 Wins (-135 Over/+115 Under)

The Seahawks have never finished below .500 or worse than second place in the NFC West in seven seasons with Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback. He’s as durable as anyone, having started 16 games every year. Seattle might have their worst defense under Pete Carroll, though Bobby Wagner is arguably the best linebacker in the NFL. The Seahawks still have one of the best home-field advantages in football, and they remain the second-best team in the division.

Prediction: Over

San Francisco 49ers: 8 Wins (-125 Over/+105 Under)

With just 12 total wins in the last three years, an 8-8 season would be a notable improvement for the 49ers. It’s hard to expect much more than that with the Rams and Seahawks ahead of them in the NFC West. No.2 overall pick Nick Bosa is already dealing with an injury that could cost him a few games, and the 49ers need to get to the quarterback in order to protect a bad secondary. Jimmy Garoppolo hasn’t proven he can be an above-average quarterback for a full season.

Prediction: Under

Arizona Cardinals: 5 Wins (-120 Over/+100 Under)

How much can you expect from a team that finished with the NFL’s worst record and hired a rookie head coach that couldn’t even make it in college? The Cardinals needs to double their win total from 2018 in order to go over their projected win total. Maybe Kyler Murray will end up thriving in KIiff Kingsbury’s offense, but the Cardinals have one of the worst offensive and defensive lines in football. Arizona is well behind the other three teams in the NFC West.
