  • He returned to the game after just 40 days
  • Brady was recently away from the Buccaneers' camp for 11 days

Quarterback Tom Brady was recently absent from Buccaneers' camp as he is reportedly going through a rough patch with his wife Gisele Bundchen.

Brady did not attend Buccaneers' camp for 11 straight days now. Brady and Gisele, a former Victoria's Secret model, have had "a series of heated arguments" after the 45-year-old player decided to return to the NFL earlier this year, following a 40-day retirement, according to NBC Sports.

After many discussions, Gisele left their family home in Tampa, Florida, reported New York Post. This comes a few days after Brady stated that he needed a break from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp.

Last week, Brady stepped on the field for the first time this preseason, playing one series against the Colts. A reporter later quizzed him about his 11-day absence, to which the seven-time Super Bowl winner replied saying, "It's all personal. Everyone's got different situations they're dealing with. We all have really unique challenges in our life. I'm 45 years old, man. There's a lot of s–t going on."

There have been speculations about marital problems between the two ever since Brady retired and was out of football for roughly six weeks until he was suddenly back in. It is understood that Gisele "went berserk" when she learned her husband was returning to his life in football.

Gisele was eager for spending time with Brady and her kids together after the NFL legend announced his retirement. But those plans quickly vanished when Brady re-signed with the Buccaneers in March.

After Brady returned to football, a few months later in May, Gisele spoke about how she felt about being married to Brady.

"I don't think relationships just happen; it's never the fairy tale people want to believe it is. It takes work to be really in sync with someone, especially after you have kids. His focus is on his career; mine is mostly on the kids. And I'm very grateful that he lets me take the reins when it comes to our family. He trusts my decisions," said Gisele in an interview.

Brady and Gisele have been married for 13 years now.
