There are expected to be a ton of quarterback changes for the 2022 NFL season. Aside from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers replacing Tom Brady and the Green Bay Packers potentially trading Aaron Rodgers, several teams are likely to have new starting quarterbacks in Week 1.

The Denver Broncos will probably go through yet another starting quarterback. Teddy Bridgewater went 7-7 and threw just 18 touchdown passes in his first year as Denver’s primary starter. The latest betting odds suggest that the Broncos will find a new quarterback for 2022.

BetMGM gives Bridgewater +400 odds to take Denver’s first snap of the upcoming season. There are -650 odds for any quarterback other than Bridgewater to be the Broncos’ Week 1 starter.

Denver is the betting favorite to acquire Rodgers if the quarterback doesn’t return to Green Bay. With the No. 9 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Broncos could take a quarterback in the first round and put him under center to start the year.

The New Orleans Saints are in a similar position as Denver. New Orleans gave the starting job in 2021 to Jameis Winston, a veteran who didn’t have much success at his previous stop. Like Bridgewater, Winston can become an unrestricted free agent in March.

Winston has +340 odds to take the Saints’ first snap of the 2022 season. The odds of any other quarterback being New Orleans’ Week 1 starter is -500 at BetMGM.

Winston threw for 1,170 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions in seven games before a torn ACL ended his 2021 campaign. Taysom Hill remains under contract with the Saints. Hill was 4-1 with a 75.4 passer rating last season.

The Saints missed the playoffs in the first season since Drew Brees’ retirement. The Broncos have not been back to the postseason since Peyton Manning retired.

The New York Giants haven’t reached the playoffs since Eli Manning called it a career, but the franchise is expected to bring back last year’s starter. Daniel Jones is a -500 favorite to be New York’s Week 1 starter, compared to +340 odds for any other quarterback to take the Giants’ first snap.

In three seasons, Jones has not proven that he can be a productive NFL starter. Jones threw for 2,428 yards, 10 touchdowns, seven interceptions and an 84.8 passer rating in 11 starts last season. Jones is about to play for his third different head coach.

Kyler Murray has gotten better every season since he was taken five picks ahead of Jones in the 2019 draft. Despite his rumored discontent with the Arizona Cardinals, Murray has -500 odds to be under center for the team in Week 1.

Murray set career-bests with 270.5 yards per game, 10 interceptions and a 100.6 passer rating in 2021. Murray was an early MVP favorite when the Cardinals started the season 7-0.

Arizona was defeated by the eventual champion Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round of the 2022 playoffs.
