  • Colln Kaepernick works out with several Seattle Seahawks players
  • Kaepernick may be eyeing a backup quarterback in Seattle
  • The Seahawks once turned down Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick has not seen NFL action since 2017, raising questions on his chances of possibly making a pro football comeback.

He has been trying to work out with several teams the past years but has not made the grade.

Despite failing to hook up with an NFL team, the 34-year-old former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers remains hopeful.

Some teams are looking for a quarterback, and the best that the two-time WAC Offensive Player of the Year can hope for is to at least make it as a backup play-caller.

Kaepernick has been putting up work to show NFL teams that he can still be a dependable player.

After working out with Tyler Lockett, he is set to work out with another Seattle Seahawk in Aaron Fuller, something he made known via Twitter.

It will be recalled that Kaepernick came under fire for making a stand against police brutality and racial inequality in the United States.

He is best known for kneeling during the national anthem at the start of NFL games in 2016.

It was a hefty price to pay with most not giving him much of a chance to make an NFL return.

That includes NFL insider Matt Maiocco who frankly said that Kaepernick may have little to no chance to make an NFL return.

“Quite frankly no. I don’t think he has any chance of playing in the NFL again. It’s a tough one right after the 2016 season, the 49ers were going to move on from him as their quarterback and no team ever really showed tremendous interest in giving him the kind of contract that he would have wanted,” Maiocco stated when he appeared on the Sports For All PH podcast.

Maiocco also mentioned that there was a time that Kaepernick was brought to Seattle in the past.

However, the chances of being handed were not high since Russell Wilson was still around then.

Kaepernick may know he may have a better chance of cracking the Seahawks roster this time around.

There could be something more to just seeing Kaepernick working out over in Seattle.
