Nick Jonas has announced the name of his new single and its called, “Levels.” The 22-year-old singer will debut the track live on the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) pre-show, Jonas announced on Twitter.

“My new single, "Levels" drops August 21st. I'll perform it live for the first time ever on the VMA pre-show,” said Jonas on Twitter. “Also, this afternoon from 1-4 PST, I will be taking over MTV's snapchat and Instagram. Check it out. #NJLevelsVMAs."

The singer also released a bicep-revealing video to make the announcement of his new song. “You're probably wondering why I'm up at 5 a.m.,” he says as the video starts. “It's because I have an enormous announcement.” The singer then reveals the name of his single as he gets ready with his morning coffee.

“Levels” is a follow up to his previous two songs, “Jealous” and “Chains,” both of which were able to make into the top 20 on the Billboard 200. MTV VMA's pre-show will be hosted by Kelly Osbourne, Sway and Girl Code Live stars Carly Aquilino, Nessa Diab, and Nora "Awkwafina" Lum, US Weekly reported.

"I'm thrilled to showcase my new single, 'Levels' at such an incredible night in music," the former Disney star told the website. "There's nothing like playing new songs live for the first time, and I can't wait to surprise my fans during this performance."

The band "Walk the Moon," which consists of Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman, will open the gala night with their chart topping number, "Shut Up and Dance." The song is also nominated for Best Rock Video at the VMAs.

The pre-show will be followed by the actual VMA awards on Aug. 30, where pop star Miley Cyrus will take up the hosting duties. The show will air Sunday, Aug. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
