New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has made no secret he's frustrated with his team's offense, but he took it to another level against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night at the MetLife Stadium.

Just before halftime, Beckham, who recorded two catches for 12 yards in the first half, was walking off the field to the locker room instead of sticking around for the final play as the Giants were trailing 24-6 at home.

He later returned in the second half and appeared to be charged up as he was yelling at himself. A little later, footage during the third quarter showed Beckham headbutting and punching an air conditioner.

The Giants would eventually lose 34-13 to the Eagles which took their record to 1-5 for the 2018 season, as Beckham finished the game with six catches for 44 yards.

Following the game, the 25-year-old said the team needed to keep their heads down and work harder.

"Kind of like what I said, you just got to keep digging, put your head down and just keep digging away," he told reporters after the game. "That's really all you can do...Just keep working harder, it is what it is."

Beckham's antics came right after he was reportedly fined an undisclosed amount by the team for comments he made during an ESPN interview last week in which he criticized the team for their offense, notably targeting quarterback Eli Manning.

“I don’t know," Beckham said when asked if Manning was the reason for their struggles. "Like I said, I feel like he's not going to get out the pocket. He's not -- we know Eli's not running it."

"But is it a matter of time issue? Can he still throw it, yeah, but it's been pretty safe and it's been, you know... cool catching shallow [routes] and trying to take it to the house. But I'm, you know, I want to go over the top of somebody."

Beckham later claimed he did not regret his comments. However, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur was not pleased with the comments at the time, though he refused to delve deeper into the topic.

Manning, meanwhile, who did not have the best game against the Eagles, reflected on the defeat and expressed hope the team could learn from their mistakes as they prepared to take on the Atlanta Falcons next Monday.

The Falcons (1-4) are also on a three-game losing streak and play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday.

"Obviously, not where we want to be," Manning said. "Not happy about it, frustrated, like everybody. All you can do is worry about the next game, that's the way football works. You watch this game, learn from it, see if there's things we can do better and get ready to play next Monday night at Atlanta."

Beckham notably signed a new five-year deal worth $95 million in August, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history. He will remain with the Giants until 2023.
