  • Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's club has seen a rejuvenated sense of energy in their past few games
  • Manchester United is seeking to add AS Monaco's Benoit Badiashile
  • Badiashile's defense is considered promising and may fit well with Mason Greenwood and other Red Devils

The rich history of Manchester United has featured several stars carry the banner of the Red Devils to success. The current roster is trying to emulate the same level of accomplishments, as they are seeking to add an elite defender for their lineup. One speculated player that they can sign is AS Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile.

The past few seasons featured Badiashile blossoming as one of the more reliable center-backs for AS Monaco. In the current Ligue 1 season, he’s suited up for 16 different starts for the team, providing quality minutes as an elite defender. Throughout his career, he’s been a reliable force for his club with the way he anticipates his opponents on the field. The 19-year-old shows a lot of promise moving forward with how well he’s playing today with averages of 1.1 tackles a night to go along with 1.7 interceptions and 3.4 clearances a game. With the way he likes to play short passes and help his teammates with an 85.3% pass success rate, Badiashile serves as a capable asset for any club to have.

It has been reported that Manchester United has been eyeing the services of Badiashile as it will be a great addition for Ole Gunnar Soslkjaer and the rest of the club per Fansided’s Red Devil Armada. With the way that the team has been playing, having someone of Badiashile’s caliber will greatly complement the club’s dynamic. The defensive intensity of the rising star has the potential to play well with the other young players of the team. With the likes of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, adding Badishile’s skills may propel the Red Devils to further heights.

With the way Manchester United has been playing, the club has been rejuvenated with a fresh sense of energy. Their leader Paul Pogba has been performing well with Portuguese superstar Bruno Fernandes. To add to these, the team is still hoping to lure Jadon Sancho as an additional piece to their already well-rounded lineup.

The intensity of the Champions League remains a big challenge for Solskjaer and the rest of the club but that is not enough for them to back down to any challenge. It will be interesting to see how Manchester United will perform if they are able to sign Badiashile in the near future.
