ONE Championship's Sophomore Appearance On Prime Video Gets Boost With High-Profile Bouts

Following its well-received debut on Amazon Prime Video over the weekend, ONE Championship is gearing for its follow-up offering on the aforementioned streaming platform.

The Singapore-based combat sports outfit confirmed a few weeks ago that ONE on Prime Video 2 is set to be headlined by a rubber match with atomweight queen Angela Lee challenging Xiong Jing Nan for her world strawweight championship.

Two more world title tiffs are booked for the live event emanating from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the morning of October 1st to be aired via United States primetime on September 30 at 8:00 PM ET.

Mikey Musumeci and Cleber Sousa will go head-to-head for the inaugural ONE flyweight submission grappling championship, while Superbon Singha Mawyn will stake his featherweight kickboxing title against Grand Prix winner Chingiz Allazov.

During the broadcast of ONE 160 last Friday, August 26, the promotion announced three more additional fights to bolster the card's bout lineup.

Thai heroine Stamp Fairtex will make her return to action as she is slated to battle Malaysian standout Jihin Radzuan in a three-round women's atomweight clash.

Stamp—who once held gold-plated straps in Muay Thai and kickboxing as well as the silverware in the ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix—will be looking for redemption after falling short in her bid to become the most decorated competitor in the organization's history as she suffered a second-round submission defeat at the hands of Lee at ONE X this past March.

It seems that she is on the lookout to restart her campaign of adding the ONE women's atomweight title to her belt collection by sharing the cage with the No. 5-ranked Radzuan.

Unlike Stamp, Radzuan experienced the biggest night of her professional mixed martial arts career yet at ONE X by scoring an upset victory over Japanese sensation Itsuki Hirata by way of split decision.

A potential date with Lee for the atomweight trinket could be the reward waiting for either woman.

Meanwhile, former two-division kingpin Martin Nguyen will be taking on another promotional newcomer in his next outing at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Nguyen—who pulled off a rousing knockout of Kiril Gorobets last March—will once again figure in a possible barnburner as he is penciled to lock horns with Ilya Freymanov, a Russian standout who holds a record of 10-2 with eight victories by way of knockout.

Also booked to strut his wares at ONE on Prime Video 2 is former lightweight title challenger Timofey Nastyukhin, who will aim to arrest his two-fight losing skid at the expense of unbeaten prospect and promotional debutant Halil Amir.

ONE Championship is expected to announce more marquee matchups for its sophomore appearance on Amazon Prime Video in the coming weeks.
