OnePlus is heavily speculated to be working on its newest flagship that will come out to replace OnePlus 2 from 2015. The rumor mill has now revealed its expected price tag. Fresh speculations also suggest that it will arrive in two variants.

According to Gizmo China, a OnePlus employee has revealed to it that the OnePlus 3 will be coming in two variants. One variant will be a standard edition that will be arriving with Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and native storage of 32 GB.

The second variant will be arriving with advanced specs that would include Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. The base model is expected to be priced at 1999 Yuan ($310) whereas the higher configuration is going to be priced higher.

Recently, the first camera sample of OnePlus 3 was revealed by the company’s CEO, Pete Lau. The image shows a close-up shot of pink colored flowers. It seems to be an un-doctored image that appears to be rich in details. This may be an indication that the OnePlus 3 would be endowed with a stellar camera that will support bokeh-style focusing which allow it to capture images with impressive color reproduction.

Rumors are rife that it will be featuring a rear camera of 16-megapixel and a front camera of 8-megapixel. Speculations indicate that the OnePlus 3 would be launched on May 18 and the device will be available for purchase by June.

The co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei had said that the OnePlus 3 will be arriving with a captivating new design. He had also revealed that the OnePlus 3 release date would be set at the end of second quarter of this year, which translates to next month. Previous rumors have also hinted that Microsoft is working on a Windows 10 ROM for OnePlus 3 that will be released later this year.
