The OnePlus 3 is the newest flagship from OnePlus that is packed with monstrous specs and affordable pricing. Its design and appearance is said to be similar to the HTC 10 smartphone that was unveiled earlier this year. Here is a comparison between the two flagships on the basis of their specifications, features, price and release date.

Design and Display

The OnePlus 3 and HTC 10 both feature full metallic chassis. The OnePlus 3 smartphone allows users to add snap-on cases made of different materials such as wood, bamboo and so on. The edges of the display are slightly curved on the bezel. The chamfered details around the screen enhances its appeal. It measures 7.4 mm in thickness and its weight is 158 grams. It is available in colors like gray, black and gold.

The HTC 10 has a curved rear panel and the chamfered edges present on accentuates its beauty. It measures 9 mm in thickness and it weighs 161 grams. It is available in color choices such as gray, silver, gold and red.

The OnePlus 3 features a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display that carries support for full HD resolution. The Super LCD 5 technology driven 5.2-inch display of HTC 10 supports Quad HD resolution. Both the displays are capable of producing natural viewing experience and impressive brightness under bright sunlight. Both the displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

Both the smartphones are powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. However, the HTC 10 includes 4 GB of RAM whereas the OnePlus 3 features 6 GB of RAM. The HTC 10 comes in storage sizes of 32 GB and 64 GB and it also features a microSD slot. The OnePlus 3 is available in a single storage choice of 64 GB and it does not feature a microSD card slot.

Camera, Software and Other Features

The 16-megapixel rear camera of OnePlus 3 is enabled with features like phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization and LED flash. The HTC 10 has a 12-megapixel rear shooter that supports features like laser autofocus, OIS and dual-LED flash.

OnePlus 3 has a frontal camera of 8-megapixel whereas the HTC 10 has a 5-megapixel selfie camera that includes support for autofocus and OIS.

The OnePlus 3 is preinstalled with Android Marshmallow OS that is overlaid with OxygenOS interface by OnePlus. The HTC 10’s Android M is also modified by HTC Sense UI.

Both the devices have fingering scanners embedded in their physical Home buttons. Both the smartphones also feature USB Type-C port. The HTC 10 is equipped with a pair of non-stereo speakers and the OnePlus 3 has a single external speaker.

Battery and Price

The OnePlus 3 and HTC 10 both feature 3,000 mAh capacity batteries. The Dash Charge feature allows OnePlus 3 to gain 63 percent battery power in 30 minutes. On the other hand, the HTC 10’s fast charging allows the smartphone to get a battery backup of 50 percent in 30 minutes.

The base model of the unlocked HTC 10 that features 32 GB storage costs $699 whereas the 64 GB OnePlus 3 is priced at $400.
