The OnePlus 6T might be announced on Oct. 17. OnePlus

OnePlus confirmed earlier this week that the OnePlus 6T will arrive with an in-display fingerprint scanner, but the company didn’t provide any additional information on the upcoming handset. However, a new leak may have already revealed everything there is to know about the OnePlus 6T, including its specs and price.

The OnePlus 6T was listed on the sales website Giztop (already taken down) that was spotted by SlashGear. The website provided details on the device’s specs and even included images of the phone itself. The photos show that the smartphone will arrive with a “waterdrop” notch design and three cameras on its back. The design looks very similar to the Oppo R17 Pro.

Although the images appear to be very convincing, it looks like the website may have used fan-made renders of the phone. Phone Arena pointed out that the front doesn’t include the volume buttons and the alert slider. The silver ring on the camera module is also not aligned properly. Lastly, the cameras on the back are not accompanied by an LED flash.

The OnePlus 6T is listed as having a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340x1080 and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. For comparison, the OnePlus 6 comes with a 6.3-inch display with a larger notch on top and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen is also covered by Gorilla Glass 6.

The website also lists that the OnePlus 6T will have a “light sensitive” fingerprint sensor under its AMOLED display. That means the handset could have an optical fingerprint sensor that will use light from the display to illuminate and capture the user’s fingerprint.

Inside, the handset is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of storage. There’s also a 3,500 mAh battery, which will most likely have support for OnePlus’ fast charging technology. On the software side of things, the device will run Android 9 Pie with the latest version of Oxygen OS running on top.

The most interesting thing about OnePlus 6T is the cameras on the device. On the back, the handset will allegedly have three cameras: a main 20-megapixel camera, a secondary 12-megapixel camera and a third camera equipped with a ToF 3D sensor. The third lens will most likely be used to improve low-light photography, but it’s also possible that it may help in augmented reality. Up front, the OnePlus 6T will have a 25-megapixel camera.

The website claimed that the device will arrive with a starting price of $569. If true, the OnePlus 6T will be a little more expensive than its predecessor, which arrived with a $529 price tag. The upcoming Android phone is currently rumored to be officially announced on Oct. 17.
