Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has already revealed to the world its latest smartphone lines, the brand-new and more powerful OnePlus 7T series. However, during the launch of the 7T series, the Chinese firm is reportedly hinting something about new hardware. The company plans to launch the new OnePlus 8 smartphone next year.

At this time, details of the upcoming OnePlus 8 are quite limited. But, the alleged images of the smartphone, courtesy of CashKaro and leakster OnLeaks, showed a whole new breed of OnePlus smartphone, fresh look with a more powerful version of OxygenOS.

Based on the shared images of the OnePlus 8, the rear of the new handset features a blue finish and vertically aligned triple-camera setup, similar to the latest OnePlus 7Pro as well as OnePlus 7T Pro. And, if the shared images of historical leakster ONlekas and CashKaro are accurate, it seems that the handset maker plans to ditch he circular camera that was used on the new OnePlus 7T.

The Shenzhen-based company is known for blazing charging speed technology using the new Warp Charge 30T Technology. The company is expected to boost the charging speed of the upcoming devices by next year. That’s because a rival Chinese firm Oppo has, recently, introduced its new Reno Ace flagship smartphone that reportedly boasts a blazing speed 65W wired charging, allowing a much faster charging.

Aside from the ultrafast charging technology, the company is also expected to beef the internals of its upcoming OnePlus 8 and offer a much better user experience using the latest version of the company’s OxygenOS.

This is possible with the latest October release of the OxygenOS 10-0-1 OTA update on the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro handsets. This latest update is a hefty one and a full upgrade to the Android 10 OS. It comes at a whopping 2GB and brings a number of improvement as well as important bug fixes. First introduced by OnePlus in 2005, OxygenOS is basically a customized version of the Android mobile platform designed exclusively for the Chinese firm’s line of smartphones.

In the meantime, while we still wait for the official reveal or some fresh announcements about the OnePlus 8, we can also take a close look at the two newly-launched OnePlus smartphones, the 7T Pro and 7T.
