OnePlus 9 Pro Release Date, Pre-Order Bonuses, And Carrier Exclusives Leaked Ahead Of Launch

OnePlus is set to unveil its next wave of devices March 8, but industry insiders have recently revealed a lot before the event. Now, it appears even more information has made its way online about the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, and OnePlus Watch.

Ahead of any hardware launch, companies must regularly contend with internal communication being leaked before the big day. Evan Blass – known among tech circles as @evleaks – posted a new set of details on Voice that gives consumers an idea of what to expect from the manufacturer.

Most smartphone brands occasionally offer pre-order gifts or freebies to encourage folks to purchase the latest models. Those who plan to get the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are eligible to receive a pair of truly wireless earbuds.

Buyers of the OnePlus 9 Pro are getting the OnePlus Buds Z x Steven Harrington version. In contrast, new OnePlus 9 owners get the regular OnePlus Buds Z. Despite what other sources hinted at before, Blass claims the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus Watch might not debut alongside the premium-tier handsets.

Meanwhile, a different set of leaks from another source seems to have uncovered the colorways, including those limited to a specific carrier for the two flagship models.

The OnePlus 9 (codename lemonade) will come in Winter Mist, Astral Black, and Arctic Sky. The OnePlus 9 Pro (codename lemonadep) has a trio of shades listed as Forest Green, Morning Mist, and Stellar Black.

T-Mobile is getting the OnePlus 9 in Astral Black and Winter Mist, while the OnePlus 9 Pro will come in a shade of Morning Mist. On the other hand, Verizon will market the OnePlus 9 in Gloss gradient purple and Gloss black colors.

OnePlus retweeted a post from its CEO, Pete Lau, which reads: “Stay tuned for Match 8.” This is likely the date when the OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R and OnePlus Watch are officially introduced.

The tweet includes an image that shows a shot of the earth taken from the moon with a caption that says: “Something new in on the horizon” Perhaps it could be a hint of the imaging capabilities of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
