After the rollout of the stable version of the Android 10 update on its latest flagship devices -- OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T, OnePlus has finally released the stable Android 10 update to last year's premium devices -- the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. The latest update arrives as OxygenOS 10.0 to both older phones.

Gizmo China reported the latest Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.0 update is rolling out over the air in a staged manner, which means that the update will reach only a small number of devices first. Additionally, the Chinese firm also advised not to use VPN tools in downloading the latest software update. The company said that the latest update may not work on VPN, because the update is not rolling out based on regions but to a limited number of randomly selected devices. The Chinese firm also announced that it will work on a much broader rollout in the next few days if no bugs are found during the initial release. Big system changes

Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 brings a brand new user interface design, enhanced privacy settings for location data and general bug fixes and some improvements. Additionally, the update also brings new customization feature in Settings that will allow users to choose icon shapes that will be displayed in the System’s Quick Settings.

New full-screen gestures

Other big additions made are the new full-screen gestures, which include a bottom navigation bar that will allow switching left or right of recent mobile apps and inward swipes from the left or right edge of the phone screen to go back.

Game Space feature

The latest OxygenOS 10.0 update also added a new Game Space feature that will join all the user's favorite games in one place for easier and faster access, and more importantly for a better mobile gaming experience.

Contextual Display

The latest update also brings a new Contextual Display feature, which, according to OnePlus, will present intelligent info based on locations, specific times and events for Ambient Display setting.

Message improvements

And finally, the latest update will now allow users to block spam using keywords within the Message app.

In addition to the changes and improvements made, the latest OxygenOS 10.0 update also boosts the Android security patch level on the OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones. However, OnePlus didn’t mention anything about this security patch works on their update changelog, the GSM Arena reported.
