The ladies of Litchfield just had another year added on to their prison term -- and we couldn’t be happier! On Wednesday morning, actress Uzo Aduba confirmed that “Orange Is the New Black” has been renewed for a fourth season, set to premiere in 2016. The exciting update comes just two months before Season 3 of the critically acclaimed drama streams on Netflix Friday, June 12.

“Season 4 is now the new news,” the actress, who portrays the fan-favorite character Crazy Eyes, told George Stephanopoulos during a segment on “Good Morning America.” Aduba added that filming for the new season will begin in June.

But that wasn’t the only announcement Aduba shared with fans during her appearance on the ABC morning show. Along with divulging the renewal of “OITNB,” a clip from the forthcoming season of the drama was also unveiled:

In the 45-second video from Season 3, fans of the Jenji Kohan-created series can see the jailbirds discussing Vee’s (Lorraine Toussaint) fate. Viewers will remember that Vee was struck by a van Miss Rosa [Barbara Rosenblat] was driving in the Season 2 finale of “OITNB” after both inmates escaped from Litchfield Penitentiary. While Poussey (Samira Wiley) thinks Vee is dead -- “squished like a bug on a windshield” to be exact -- Crazy Eyes is convinced her (fake) friend, mentor and mother-figure is still alive.

“No, you’re a liar! She’s fine. Vee is fine. She’s coming back for me,” the inmate shouts with enough gusto to concern one of the guards.

“Take care of your girl,” he says to Taystee (Danielle Brooks), warning her that if she doesn’t control her friend, Crazy Eyes will be sent to the SHU.

The award-winning series will return this summer with new faces, like actors Ruby Rose, Mary Steenburgen, Blair Brown and Mike Birbiglia, in addition to a few missing ones. Jason Biggs and Pablo Schreiber will both be noticeably absent from the third installment, however, with the confirmation of a Season 4, fans can now have a glimmer of hope that the two actors will reprise their roles in the future.
