  • Paul Pogba weighs in on Manchester United's stacked roster
  • Pogba believes Mason Greenwood is the best striker today
  • The World Cup winner is aware of what Cristiano Ronaldo can do

Paul Pogba doesn’t think Cristiano Ronaldo is the most lethal finisher there is.

All eyes are on Manchester United this season after the team managed to stack its roster with a mix of world-class and young but prolific strikers.

Looking at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s current set of forwards, the Red Devils boss is likely to have a bit of trouble in choosing among Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and the returning Manchester United legend Ronaldo.

Sharing his thoughts on the subject, Pogba revealed who among the aforementioned strikers he thinks is the best.

According to Pogba, all of them are exceptional, but Greenwood is the “best finisher” he has ever seen and played with.

"Mason [Greenwood] I think he’s more left footed, he dribbles more with his left but to shoot he shoots with both," Pogba told Stadium Astro. "His finishing is unreal, he’s the best finisher I’ve seen, trained with.”

"He’s the youngest but he’s just unbelievable and I hope he score more goals and improve and win titles,” he continued. “ He’s very young and very talented and I want to push him even better."

It is not everyday that a player picks another player when Ronaldo’s name is the conversation.

Despite being enamored by Greenwood’s qualities, Pogba is still well aware of what a legendary player like Ronaldo can bring to the table.

“Everybody knows [what he brings],” the Frenchman told Sky Sports of Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United. “He’s already a legend at this club and he is coming back.”

"Obviously, it’s good for us, he’s going to bring his experience and quality. When he comes, the level goes up. We’re really pleased he’s coming, and the most important thing today was the win so that when he comes we keep this winning mentality and keep going.”

Barring the draw against Southampton, Manchester United is off to a good start this season.

For Pogba, this has been the “strongest” Red Devils squad he has played for and he is confident the squad can finally win trophies this year.

"There have always been strong Manchester United teams, but this is definitely the strongest [I've played in],” the World Cup winner assessed. “It is obviously in this club's DNA to win trophies.”

“We have a strong team that can become champions,” he added. “We know how hard it is, but we will do our best to lift the trophy this season."
